How to Create an Ideal Client Story

In order to have a website that generates money online, you have to create and share content that resonates with the right type of people. The marketing messages you create must be valuable to the people who have an issue or problem. Makes sense, right?

But these marketing messages need to speak to your ideal client. If they don’t, the content you create will fall on the ears of people who don’t need your product or service…and you end up with empty pockets, i.e. wasted money.

Not a good look, right?

Creating an ideal client story will not only, give you a roadmap for creating content that keeps you connected to your audience when creating new content, but it will also draw new visitors to your site because everyone loves a good story!

Now I know you’ve heard this from all the guru’s out there just like I have. And I have to admit…I struggled with this for years!

But one day, I was online listening to a really cool marketing queen and she describes her ideal client in a way that made me lean in and listen. She described her ideal client by sharing a sweet story about her. She even called her by name. That same day, I sat down and did the same thing.

My ideal client’s name is Crissy. She lives in the sunny state of Arizona, in the city of Chandler where she lives with her husband and teenage daughter Paris.

I go on to talk about how she shows up in the lives of her family and friends, where she hangs out online, who she follows on Facebook and Twitter and why. I then talk about how I want her to feel when she lands on my website and social media pages and what she will find there.

How to Create YOUR Ideal Client Story

Creating one is pretty simple. All you have to do is describe your ideal client in the form of a story. Take all the demographics of your ideal client and weave them into a story about their life.

People LOVE stories! And they love stories that they can relate to.

Describe your ideal client in detail…who they are, how old they are and what they love and what they struggle with.

Then, describe one of their struggles in a way that leads the story to YOUR solution.

Are you ready? Go for it!
